I’m Don Murley, innovator and producer of the Streaming Online Contemporary Christian Music Radio Station HOPE 1000.com, where “The Message is in the Music.”

Christian music has always been a large part of my life.  For more than fifty years ‘JESUS MUSIC’ has sustained and encouraged me through the hills and valleys of my personal and professional life. God has always spoken to me mightily through His music. In early 2021 He called me to put all my broadcasting skills together in service to Him by establishing a music-driven, up-tempo online Christian station that would ‘minister to’ believers and ‘introduce to’ non-believers as well, songs that provide Christian encouragement, inspiration, and most importantly HOPE for their daily life. 

From that ‘calling’ came Hope1000.com, where “The Message is in the Music.” This online streaming station provides what you cannot find on the radio today. It digs back into a massive Christian music library and selects songs that cover the entire history of Contemporary Christian Music. You will hear songs that have not seen airplay in decades.  Many listening will gain a new appreciation for the full spectrum of Contemporary Christian Music that has been praising God over the past five decades.  Yes, we go back to the late 60s when Hal Lindsey was preaching “JESUS” to hippies on the beaches of Southern California, to a time when a guy named Larry Norman began singing to those hippies who had gotten “saved” on the beaches. These are the ones who became known as the “Jesus People,” or as some in society called them, “Jesus Freaks.”  They listened to songs like “Sweet, Sweet Song of Salvation,” “I Wish We’d All Been Ready,” and “Why Should the Devil Have All the Good Music.” You will find that we play Contemporary Christian Music from its inception right up through today… that’s more than five decades.  To name a few, look for songs by Anne Wilson, Newsboys, Matthew West, Point of Grace, For King and Country, Toby Mac, Mercy Me, Rebecca St. James, Casting Crowns, Amy Grant, Avalon, Carmen, Petra, Sheila Walsh, David Meese, Michael W. In a sense, God has been preparing me for the ‘Hope 1000 Calling’ for a long time. I have worked in broadcasting and marketing all my life. I first went behind the microphone in 1968 at a local radio station. I worked in all aspects of radio, from on-the-air, to programming, to engineering. I own and operate an audio and video production company, advertising agency and voiceover studio. Today we produce audio, video and marketing content for websites and marketing campaigns.  Yet, as I look back over all those years, I recognize that my greatest passion has always been Contemporary Christian Music.

I became a Christian in 1959 in our back yard in Scranton, Pennsylvania.  There, at the age of 7, I was led to the Lord during a summer neighborhood Bible School. It was led by my mother, and Child Evangelism Fellowship as an outreach of neighborhood churches.  I am the blonde kid in the front row and my sister is sitting next to me! Mom did this every summer to reach the kids in the neighborhood for Jesus.  We were raised in church listening to those “Sunday Sermons”, and Jesus was always talked about all throughout the week in our home.

As I look back over the decades of my life, Jesus has always been the biggest part of it.  In my teenage years I was very involved with my church youth group and Youth for Christ.  After high school I attended Penn State University and Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, where I volunteered with Youth for Christ Chicago, before going to work at a Christian radio station in Albany, New York. 

My prayer is that HOPE1000.com will bring you a Message of HOPE in all the situations of your life.  

I am dedicating the Hope1000.com music ministry to the memory of my late mother, Doris. She taught me that after you accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior, HE is with you every minute of every day. I never lost sight of what she taught me; Jesus can be my best friend! He has been just that, MY BEST FRIEND, by my side through it all.

He remains with me every minute of every day.
